Hollow often appears to be just five members of a band, in fact there are eleven.  We therefore give full recognition and appreciation to the following.

Starting with the band musicians, and in no order of preference as we are all equal, the following list makes up the full 'Hollow Machine'.  Each and every person is a 'gear in the engine' and a complete 'brick in the wall' without whom the mechanism would fail and this Earth would collapse.  We are grateful for each others services with keeping this dream alive.

Stewart   Liquid fingers,   the keyboard player who holds the music together with the Hollow sound.  Irreplaceable co founder member.  Has been likened to Rick Wakeman and certainly emulates that professionalism.  Knows what the band should sound like, how it should be maintained.  Has a wealth of his own music just waiting to be performed.  Has collected an entire museum of keyboards and brings most of them to the gig!

Kym   Kapn Kymla, bands singer and front man playing occasional guitar and bass.  Put the band together Christmas 1999 after meeting Stewart.  Can't be bothered to understand how things work, just as long as they do.  Anxious, restless, irritated and confused most of the time!  Writes his own songs and has created a rock opera for orchestra.  A frustrated individual who has too many dreams and doesn’t understand the word ‘no’.  Also prefers drummers not to count!

Paul   Rock star.  The guitarist.  Joined the band first and stayed despite admitting that he prefers hard rock to prog.  A near professional, had hit single in the seventies, played with Nik Kershaw in the eighties and can play anything on guitar.  Enjoys thumping out some loud riffs and is a true master of his axe by adapting to most styles.  Dedicated to music and beer!  Usually works out the twiddly bits with Stewart.

Dave   Thumper.  Percussionist and drummer who joined around 2006 after Kym argued with the old one.  A very clever man, teaches RP to kids, plays excellent drums, has his own home studio, jams and records with friends outside the band.  Confident and constructive and sometimes passionately hostile.  Is reliable although he can become bored easily.  Keeps the band solid and rhythmically together.  Taught Kym how to count!

Harry  Bassman.  Joined the band in 2009.  Owns a Rickenbacker...wow...so he must be good!  A quiet, yet knowledgeable business man.  Loves prog and simply asked to join after hearing that the current bassman was leaving.  Loves his wine and has known to ‘tipple’ on stage.  True rock’n’roller!  Has too much equipment for such a little man to carry.  Steals Dave’s jelly babies when he’s not looking….actually…they all do!

Anita   The Duchess.  Kym's better half.  Extremely helpful.  Is devoted to all aspects of the band making good use of the organised woman’s brain.  Talks to fans, creates ideas and definitely keeps Kym on his toes.  Stops the men from swearing when she's about thus creating a more civilised atmosphere.  Her ideas range from 'gig alerts' to ‘t-shirt sales' and has organised gigs with her feminine ways……actually, she organises everybody!

Mervyn   Guru, also answers to blouse!  A kind of 'Manager'.  Pretty much has the answer to most things and everyone calls upon him for advice...they then do the opposite!  He gets things done and has supplied most of the PA.  Key holder to the bands own studio/rehearsal rooms.  Puts all arguments between the band to rest but is ultimately a frustrated rock star.  Sometimes wears a strange hat!

Francis   Mr Happy, Stewart’s brother.  Has worked with the band since 2007, lifting, carrying, fetching, repairing, sorting and generally being such a thoroughly decent, happy chappy.  Regularly supplies the band with chocolate hob nobs.  Constantly scans for useful items and equipment and he put together the bands back projection screen and artwork for their first album.  Lives in a houseboat.

Ernie   Fastest solderer in the East, long time friend of Merv who introduced him to the band.  An electrical genius, has the answer to most things technical and has even been known to peruse plans and instruction manuals....an otherwise unheard of quality in any man!  Makes good tea!  Labours long and hard over switches, knobs and sliders with brother Ken.  A mind of information and an all round good egg!

Ken 'Brad'   Big ears the sound man.  Ernies brother, joined the team the same time as Ernie to be involved with PA and electronics.  There's nothing this man doesn't know about 'stuff' but don't ask him cos you'll never get home for tea!  Once PA'd for Tina Turner.  Also plays bass and has his own band, but don't ask him anything, please just leave him quietly alone to get on with things.

Mel   Hollow's PR Manager reporting directly to everybody else about gigs, exposure and hype!  He used to be the Media Manager for the local 'Bill' and made many appearances on the goggle box appealing for this, that and the other.  Always looking for opportunities for the band to perform.  Once worked for RCA Records.  More recently was a band member of a successful local Caribbean Steel Band.  Organised HE's 2010 charity gig at the University of East Anglia raising over £3000 that will go towards launching a Blue Ribbon Foundation for male cancers.

....and finally to those wives and girlfriends, families and friends who without their help, encouragement and consent would otherwise see the entire project falter....they know who they are....we all thank you.
