HOLLOW EARTH

THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF THE 70s TRIBUTE
PROGRESSIVE ROCK MUSIC SHOW

EARTH VIEW....a view of the Earth

Welcome and thanks for being Earth visitor number...

Hollow Earth is a five piece rock band playing challenging music from the heyday of 'progressive'.  They cover bands like Floyd, Genesis and Yes with a bit of Supertramp and Strawbs thrown in.  Prog has had the reputation of being pompous and over played, 'thinking mans' rock but the band finds many people who enjoy the show simply because the music is so classic and timeless.  Devoted fans seek out Hollow Earth just so they can listen to Floyd's 'Shine on Crazy Diamond' and 'Comfortably Numb', tunes that people everywhere recognise but sometimes can't place.  Songs from Genesis like 'Firth of Fifth' and 'Afterglow'  are played with maticulous detail, faithful to the original but with a full sounding 21st century edge.  For more about the set list go to EARTH MATERIAL.

Hollow Earth also introduce their own songs into the set which makes them unlike any other tribute band.  Do not expect to hear 'any old stuff' being played at their gigs like most cover bands but instead prepare yourselves for complicated rhythms and time signatures, moody key changes and powerful lead breaks.  There is something for everyone to enjoy.  Where else would you hear Yes's 'Roundabout' and Jethro Tull's 'Living in the Past' alongside Floyd's 'Time' and Genesis's 'I Know What I Like'...ALL UNDER ONE ROOF!

FORGET YOUR 'MUSTANG SALLY' AND YOUR 'JOHNNY B GOODE'...

'HOLLOW EARTH is a class act of classic quality prog, complete with lights and lasers!'
